We offer various treatments customized to your skin type and needs. Please stop by the
office or call to receive a complete list of services. Below are few popular treatments we
offer:
1. Who provides the treatments at our Advanced Skin Care Treatment Facility?
2. Will my insurance pay for my treatments at your clinic?
3. Will my Medical Savings account pay for my treatment at your clinic?
4. Why don’t you offer guarantee for treatments provided?
5. Do lasers and/or intense pulsed light cause cancer?
6. What if I have a Primary Care Physician or Dermatologist already?
7. Do you offer treatments for psoriasis?
8. What if I need a biopsy for a skin lesion?
Who provides the treatments at our Advanced Skin Care Treatment Facility? Although there are trained assists available to perform certain procedures in our office, all laser, cosmetic and botox procedures are performed by Dr. Nawab. This assures you that your consultation, recommendations and treatment are all completed by your physician. During this process, Dr. Nawab will evaluate your skin, discuss expectations and goals and develop a long term treatment plan. This should reassure you that your treatment will be completed by a physician trained extensively in the use of these products and technology and that the investment that you make in improving your skin will be worthwhile.
Will my insurance pay for my treatments at your clinic? Generally speaking, any cosmetic procedure done will not be paid for by your insurance. Many insurance companies will pay for older procedures that destroy the skin surface (typically requiring sutures and usually involving scar formation) but refuse to pay for more cosmetically pleasing treatments done with our laser. However, if you would be interested in pursuing payment from your insurance company on any portion of your final bill, we will gladly provide you with the billing information necessary for that discussion.
Will my Medical Savings account pay for my treatment at your clinic? Despite the fact that the majority of the procedures that we do are classified as medical treatments, we cannot guarantee you that this type of account will cover you. You should research your particular plan to assure that the procedure that we are recommending for you is covered before completing the procedure.
Why don’t you offer guarantee for treatments provided? Please be assured that we are not happy unless you are happy and we hope that you are bragging to all of your friends and family about your results. We do our very best to under-promise and to over-deliver your services. However, the technology that we offer is not always as successful with every individual who uses it (and often cosmetic results are very subjective). However, the price of the technology that we offer is very expensive to make available to you and in order for our clinic to continue to offer state-of-the art technology, we must obtain payment from all individuals utilizing the equipment.
Do lasers and/or intense pulsed light cause cancer? No. Our devices are not Ultraviolet radiation systems and produce wavelengths that are well studied to be safe to our skin (with regards to cancer). In fact, many recent studies are suggesting that treatments that are currently being done can be used to treat certain types of skin cancer. Additionally, ongoing treatment of skin conditions, pigment disorders etc. clearly benefit our skin and with good maintenance on your part (especially sunscreens) should significantly reduce your chance of skin cancer as you age.
What if I have a Primary Care Physician or Dermatologist already? If you are seeing a physician regularly, please be assured that your visit to our clinic will not affect that relationship. Regardless of your ongoing care, if you have a skin problem that is not being adequately addressed, our consultation process will help assess your current regimen and appropriate recommendations will be given to you to assist with resolving your problem. Many dermatology offices don’t offer laser/cosmetic technology for various reasons and in most instances; our office will work with your dermatologist to optimize your care.
Do you offer treatments for psoriasis? We currently offer treatment for mild to moderate psoriasis that include chemical peels, microdermabrasion and PCA medical grade creams that will significantly improve your skin disorder. We do not offer more advanced treatments with immunosuppressant medications or PUVA, which are reserved for more advanced form of the disease.
What if I need a biopsy for a skin lesion? If we determine during the course of our consultation, that you will require a biopsy of a particular skin lesion, we refer you to a dermatologist as generally, this type of procedure is covered by insurance. You should always inquire with your particular carrier to assure that coverage.
We offer several different types of massages, including:
Swedish Massage
The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles
by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as
the flow of blood returning to the heart. This form of massage was created at the turn of the century
by Henry Peter Ling in Sweden. It involves the use of kneading, stroking, friction, tapping, and vibration
and may provide relief from stiffness, numbness, pain, constipation, and other health problems. The
main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from
the muscles. Other possible benefits include stimulation of circulation, an increase in muscle tone, and
a balance of the musculo-skeletal systems. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular
strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation
without increasing heart load.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is essentially the same as a gentle Swedish massage. During a relaxation massage
there is less emphasis on working out serious adhesions or knots in the muscle tissue and the therapist
won't push your pain limits in order to get the muscle to release. Sometimes people even fall asleep
during a relaxation massage. There are still substantial health benefits to a relaxation massage,
including calming the nervous system, promoting a sense of well-being, improving blood circulation and
stimulating the body's lymphatic system, which carries away waste products.
Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy massage is a subtype of Relaxation massage and is done with the addition of one or more
scented plant oils called essential oils to address specific needs. The massage therapist will select oils
that are relaxing, energizing, stress-reducing, and balancing, etc. One of the most common essential oils
used in aromatherapy massage is lavender.
Aromatherapy massage is particularly suited to stress-related conditions or conditions with an
emotional component.
Deep tissue massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as “adhesions.”)
Some FAQ’S on Deep Tissue Massage:
1. Will A Deep Tissue Massage Hurt? It shouldn't hurt, but it's likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage. You
should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you. It's important to drink a lot of
water after a deep tissue massage to help flush lactic acid out of the tissues. If you don't, you might be
sore the next day. It's possible that you might feel some soreness the day after a deep tissue massage
even if you DO drink water. This just means a lot of waste products were flushed out of the tissues. It
should pass within a day or so.
2. How Fast Will I Get Results With A Deep Tissue Massage? It's important to be realistic about what one deep tissue massage can achieve. Many people ask for
more pressure, thinking that if the therapist just pushes hard enough, they can get rid of all their knots
in an hour. This just won't happen.
In fact, undoing chronic knots and tension built up over a lifetime is best achieved with an integrated
program that includes exercise, work on your posture and ways of moving, relaxation techniques and a
regular program of massage.
Finally, while deep tissue is certainly valuable, you should be aware that gentle styles of massage like
craniosacral therapy can also produce profound release and realignment in the body.
Finally, you can have any part of your body worked on; hands, feet, face, scalp, back, neck, arms,
legs. You may also combine any cosmetic treatment with a massage of your choice to enhance your
rejuvenating experience. Every Massage is different and specific for each client.

3. Is the Fraxel treatment painful?
4. What areas can be treated?
5. Who are the best candidates for the Fraxel Laser treatments?

How does Fraxel treatment work? Unlike other laser treatments, Fraxel treatment is able to precisely treat thousands of microscopic areas of skin, using pinpoint laser beams that penetrate beneath the skin’s surface to eliminate old, damaged skin cells. Fraxel treatment stimulates the body’s own natural healing process which replaces damaged skin with fresh, glowing, healthy skin.

Delicate skin suffering from damage due to sun exposure on the neck or chest can be treated easily. Any part of the body is appropriate. The end result is impressive change to fine lines and wrinkles and a smoothing out of skin tone and color with virtually no down time.
Who are the best candidates for the Fraxel Laser treatments? Fraxel is for men and women of all ages. Whether you're in your 30’s and just starting to see wrinkles or in your 60’s with deeper line and loose skin. The Fraxel has an option for your unique skin.
1 What is Botox/Dysport?
2 What is Botox/Dysport used for?
3 Can I get Botulism from Botox?
4 How long will Botox/Dysport last?
5 What side effects should I be aware of?
6 How long does the procedure take?
7 What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
8 Is there any reason why I should not have a Botox/Dysport treatment?
What is Botox/Dysport?Botox is manufactured by Allergan while Dysport is manufactured by Medicis. Botox/Dysport is a purified protein complex derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This protein is defined as Botulinum Toxin Type A. Type A toxin is generally used for cosmetic purposes.
What is Botox/Dysport used for? Botox/Dysport is a simple, non surgical solution that aids in smoothing deep persistent lines (wrinkles). It is a well known Muscle inhibitor (immoblizes muscle) that can exert its effect for several months. Its property as a muscle inhibitor allows it to be used to treat wrinkles of the skin and facial expressions. It has also been used successfully to treat excessive sweating and migraine headaches in some circumstances. Botox has been used by the medical community for about 20 years and has a very good safety record. While Dysport got FDA approval in Jan 2009 its been in use in Europe for over 10 years.
Can I get Botulism from Botox? No. Botulism is a medical condition that develops from ingesting huge quantities of botulinum toxin from bacteria. Botox from Allergan has no bacteria present that could alter its properties or effects.
How long will Botox/Dysport last? Individual results may vary. Generally, Botox/Dysport effects last 3 months, though wrinkle reduction can be seen as long as 4 months. However with repeated use the effect will begin to last longer.
What side effects should I be aware of? The common side effects are headache, nausea and flu like symptoms. Less common side effects include pain and redness at the injection site.
How long does the procedure take? Following the consultation, the actual procedure takes less than 15 minutes. Since there is no down time - you can do it at lunch time - and no one would know you had it done!
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport? Both are the same product botulinum toxin A, a derived protein that works by relaxing targeted muscles. The Dysport protein is slightly smaller so it works quicker. The end result is similar from the patient's standpoint.
Is there any reason why I should not have a Botox/Dysport treatment? You should not have a Botox/Dysport treatment if you have conditions requiring special care:
• You are allergic to Botox/Dysport or anything in the preparation.
• You suffer from a neuromuscular disease
• You have an infection at the intended site of the injection
You should also take special care if you are taking antibiotics which may interfere with neuromuscular transmission. Make sure you tell us if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant soon or are nursing a baby.
1. What is microdermabrasion?
2. What skin conditions does DermaSweep treat?
3. Is the treatment painful or come with side effects?
4. What will my skin look after treatment?
5. How long will the results last?
What is microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion is a skin-revitalizing treatment that helps repair skin that is damaged from the sun, scars, acne and the unwanted effects of aging. A trained professional uses gentle abrasion with suction to remove (or peel) the dead, outer layer of skin in order to stimulate and reveal new healthy skin underneath.
DermaSweep features a closed system with a variable level vacuum pump that gently lifts the skin surface as the device "sweeps away" the dead layer of skin in a precise and controlled manner. This treatment is completely customizable, with 9 different combinations of treatment tips(brushes) for safe, highly tailored and optimal results.
The skin is left smoother as the vacuum action of the wand stimulates blood flow and cleans the pores. The increased blood flow encourages collagen formation thus firming and toning the epidermis. The treatment leaves patients with fresher-feeling and better-looking skin.
What skin conditions does DermaSweep treat? Most everyone can enjoy the DermaSweep’s rejuvenation benefits. Typical conditions include:
• Reducing early aging lines
• Sun-damaged skin / photo damage
• Melasma (irregular brown patches)
• Revitalize dull skin
• Reduction of fine lines
• Hyper-pigmentation (brown patches and age spots)
• Improve and control acne
• Refine enlarged pores
• Uneven skin texture
• Surgical scars
• Pre-Photodynamic Therapy treatment
• Improving overall skin health
Is the treatment painful or come with side effects? The treatment is painless. The hazards associated with traditional microdermabrasion are eliminated. DermaSweep does not use aluminum oxide crystals that can remain embedded in the skin and cause irritation. You may feel mild tightening or tingling after exfoliation but the skin will be quite smooth. The moisture of any topical treatment will leave your skin with a cool, refreshed feeling.
An anti-oxidant enriched sunscreen is essential to use afterwards since the exfoliated skin has temporarily lost some of its natural protection to the environment. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure and tanning for a few days.
What will my skin look after treatment? Your skin will be instantly smoother and you will notice a vibrant glow after the first treatment. Hyper-pigmentation, acne scars, fine lines, and stretch-marks will lessen gradually over a series of microdermabrasion treatments.
How long will the results last? Lasting and more significant results will occur after 4 to 6 treatments spaced over 10 days to two weeks apart, supported by a daily post treatment routine. If you are undergoing microdermabrasion in combination with laser skin rejuvenation (photorejuvenation or chemical peels), then the results will last much longer.
1. What are Dermal Fillers?
2. What are the side effects of dermal fillers?
3. How long do fillers last?
4. How painful are treatments? 5. What problems do fillers correct?
6. Will laser or IPL treatments damage fillers in the skin?
7. Are there medications that should be avoided prior to using fillers?
What are Dermal Fillers? Dermal fillers are substances that have been developed to be injected into our skin to help correct defects such as wrinkles, creases and scars and to enhance areas such as the lips and eyebrow region.
What are the side effects of dermal fillers? All fillers can cause bruising, redness and swelling that can last for several days.
How long do fillers last? Individual fillers have different time spans in our skin. The more active an area you are injecting fillers into is, the lower the life-span of the product. Fillers in the lip area tend to last the least amount of time as this area is very active.
How painful are treatments? A local anesthetic injection similar to that given in a dentist’s office is usually given to minimize any potential discomfort. A topical anesthetic cream that is applied 1 hour before procedure is also available.
What problems do fillers correct? Fillers are most commonly used to flatten nasolabial folds, to soften the crease to the cheek (giving a more youthful look), to enhance and reshape lips, to flatten marionette lines (side of mouth to chin), to fill in scar defects and to alter nose deformities and bumps.
Will laser or IPL treatments damage fillers in the skin? No. Fillers are very stable products and after a short time period (we usually recommend 2-3 weeks), IPL and laser treatments are not only safe, but often add to the overall appearance of your skin.
Are there medications that should be avoided prior to using fillers? Medications that can increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site should be avoided for at least 1 week prior to the injections. These include Aspirin, NSAID family (Advil, Motrin, Aleve etc.), St John Wort, high doses of vitamin E, gingko biloba, ginseng and ginger.
1 What exactly is acne?
2 Can what I eat influence my acne?
3 What treatment work best to treat acne?
4 How does an Laser help acne?
5 Can Laser treat acne scars?
6 Can I still use an Laser if I’m on Accutane?
7 How often do I need Laser treatments and how long will the effect last?
8 Can any area of my body be treated or is the treatment limited to my face?
What exactly is acne? Acne is the result of your pores blocking and allowing bacteria to grow within. Normally our pores produce oil (sebum) for healthy skin. This sebum becomes a growth medium for bacteria within the pore and the resultant block can lead to whiteheads (trapped sebum and bacteria stay below the skin surface), blackheads (trapped sebum and bacteria become partially exposed and turn black due to melanin (skin pigment)), papule (your pore wall breaks and white blood cells rush in to fight), pustules (several days after the pore breaks, pus goes to the surface), nodule (pore break along the bottom and a large inflamed bump results) or cyst (severe inflammatory reaction with very large pus filled lesions).
Can what I eat influence my acne? While there is still much controversy about diet and its effect on acne, there are clear links between worsening acne associated with fatty, oily and high-sugar foods and drinks. Whether these types of foods have their effect by an increase in hormonal levels (insulin or sex linked hormones) is not completely clear, however, there is little question that a healthy diet with fruits, vegetables, low-fat/ low carbohydrates and a daily vitamin (especially vitamins A and C) is essential for healthy skin.
What treatment work best to treat acne? Approximately 80% of the population suffers with acne at some point in their lives (as teenagers and adults). Your particular source for acne can be influenced by your age, diet, sun exposure, hormonal influences and genetics. Many people find current treatment options are either ineffective or they develop significant side effects. Additionally, the cost and duration of treatment with topical medications and oral antibiotics make standard therapy far from ideal, especially if it’s ineffective. Individual treatment plans will vary from person to person but certain portions of our recommended treatments are clearly effective, if done appropriately. We offer multiple types of topical regimens (depending on your skin type and ongoing problem) through our PCA line of medical grade creams, lotions, serum and gels and do occasionally add oral antibiotics in difficult cases, but we clearly have seen additional benefits with our Fotona Nd:YAG laser.
How does an Laser help acne? Acne has increased blood supply, the energy from our Fotona Laser heats up the infected area thus destroying the bacteria.
Can Laser treat acne scars? Yes Revive-MD has various treatment options to treat acne scars. One of the options is Fraxel treatment. Click here to learn more about Fraxel treatment.
Can I still use an Laser if I’m on Accutane? Accutane causes an effect that makes your skin much more susceptible to the effects of the Lasers and generally, it is recommended that you be off Accutane for 6 months prior to your treatment.
How often do I need Laser treatments and how long will the effect last? The best treatment pattern is to start off with every 2 week cycles and increase time between treatments as the acne improves. The effects from the laser should be seen within the first 2 week treatment cycle and although patients do vary, the effect should last for months afterwards and allow treatment with your usual topical regimen to be much more effective.
Can any area of my body be treated or is the treatment limited to my face? Yes. We can treat any area of the body.
Rosacea
1 What is Rosacea?
2 How do I recognize rosacea?
3 What things help and/or worsen rosacea?
4 What treatment options help?
What is Rosacea? Often referred to as adult acne; an adult skin disease that causes redness, swelling and occasionally, acne like pimples and small blood vessels on the face. Individuals will notice tendency to easily blushing or flushing with progression toward persistent redness in the center of the face, gradually moving out to the cheeks, forehead and chin. Unlike acne, no blackheads or whiteheads will generally be noted. Early on, symptoms may come and go, but eventually the redness will persist with pimples and enlarged blood vessels becoming more noticeable. If not recognized and treated, the disease will worsen. Early recognition and treatment are keys to maintaining the health of your skin.
How do I recognize rosacea? Look for the small, red bumps on the center portion of your face early on. Redness and tiny blood vessels will also become prevalent and more noticeable with blushing and flushing. Very oily skin and occasionally, dandruff can be prominent with rosacea. In more advanced stages, nose involvement can occur. Initially, oily surface and enlarged pores develop and eventually an enlarged, red nose with thick bumps known as Rhinophyma will occur. Eye involvement can also occur in about 50% of people with rosacea. Burning and gritty characteristics and recurrent pink eye (conjunctivitis) which can lead to more serious eye disease if not treated.
What things help and/or worsen rosacea? Prevention of flares is the most important factor for treating rosacea. The exact cause is unknown but certain factors are well known to help limit flares. Avoiding hot drinks, alcohol and spicy foods will limit the flushing. Sunblocks are essential for lifetime, daily use. Use of SPF 15 or higher should be part of a daily routine. Ultraviolet light stimulates flushing and creates long term problems with increased blood flow (increases blood vessels on the skin surface). Remember that ultraviolet light comes from many sources, including fluorescent lights, and that daily sunblock application is essential, regardless of where you live. Avoiding excessive massaging, scrubbing or rubbing the face and avoiding irritating cosmetics, hair sprays and harsh soaps is also very important. Always exercise in cool environments.
What treatment options help? Our offices offer extensive lines of medical grade skin care products through PCA (including various sunblocks), as well as, mineral based cosmetics, for daily use. Individualized treatments are necessary, as the degree of rosacea will vary from one person to the next. Generally, topical antibiotic creams and oral antibiotics are part of a regular regimen, if symptoms are severe enough.
Spider Vein
1. What are Spider Veins?
2. How are spider veins treated?
3. Is there any harm in removing spider veins?
What are Spider Veins? Spider veins (are also known as telangiectasias) are small superficial thread like veins close to the skin surface. They are more prominent on the face, back and sides of the thigh and just below the knees. These veins are more distinct in fair skinned people, and more common in females. The spider veins may appear spontaneously and they have no symptoms.
How are spider veins treated? The most important thing to know is that these veins are entirely of a cosmetic concern. There are several options in treating spider veins. We use state-of-art laser equipment providing a series of individualized laser treatments. The laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel, causing your body to harmlessly reabsorb and eliminate it. You are likely to need additional treatments, since our body tends to re-canalize the veins. Laser vein removal is 90 to 95% effective, but results may vary.
Is there any harm in removing spider veins? Spider veins have no function and removing does no harm. The only reason they are removed is because of their unsightly cosmetic.
1. How do lasers work?
2. How many treatments are necessary?
3. When will I notice results?
4. How is pricing determined for laser hair removal?
5. What about side effects?
6. Does it hurt?
How do lasers work? Every laser is different, our laser works by destroying the blood supply to your hair follicles and/or the melanin in the hair follicle. When this blood flow is gone, the hair follicle and its active parts will shrivel and die.
Our laser technology has many safety features. Its depth of penetration goes to the very deepest follicle and people of all skin colors can be safely treated. Most lasers in the market, with a shorter wave length, target only melanin, a pigment that we have in our hair follicle. That results in heat absorbed into the skin, often not deep enough to effectively destroy a hair follicle, and such lasers have a higher incidence of skin reactions and damage. With our laser technology, we can select the appropriate Laser for your skin type, regardless of tanning status, which affords additional safety and minimizes the likelihood of side-effects. Is it suitable for everyone? Our physician can customize the treatment which relates to your skin type and hair color. Men and women can now enjoy freedom from hair is areas such as bikini, underarms, back, chest, and face.
How many treatments are necessary? How many treatment you need will depend on your number of growth cycles and how hair-free you wish to be. Expect 6-8 treatments, spaced 4 to 5 weeks apart. Shaving or clipping hair in between treatments is allowed (no waxing or plucking).
When will I notice results? Approximately 10 to 14 days after your first treatment, you will see the initial results. It is very pleasing. However, you need to remember that we recommend a series of six or more treatment, approximately four weeks apart, for the best results. Remember, your body tends to make hair again.
How is pricing determined for laser hair removal? You would be surprised how affordable it is for permanent hair removal! Pricing is determined on the amount of hair and area to be covered by the laser.
What about side effects? While side-effects are rare, some patients may have a swollen appearance to the follicles for a few minutes after treatment. This usually resolves before the patient leaves the treatment room. Because the Laser generates heat within the follicle, there is a risk of a small water blister. Local pigmentation may develop, which is usually responsive to topical creams, and it resolves without any problems. Please inform us, as soon as possible, of any problems.
Does it hurt? Our goal is to make you comfortable. Our technology can deliver adequate power with minimal tissue heating, you will feel minimal or no discomfort. You may have heard that it feels like a mild or moderate stinging sensation, or worse in some cases. With our Laser technology and with the use of our computerized scanner, treatment areas are scanned in a sequential fashion and not treated twice or more times, which minimizes the likelihood of side-effects. Most lasers use a hand-held device to emit the Laser beam, which is influenced by the operator’s hand motion over the skin and hair follicles, which can be a quite tedious procedure and subject to one’s patience and hand-motions. That is not the case with our Laser technology. Also, the area is treated completely, seamlessly.
1. What is chemical Peel?
2. How are chemical peels performed?
3. What to expect after treatment?
What is chemical Peel? A chemical peel uses exfoliating solutions such as Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Phenol, or Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) to remove damaged or aged layers of skin to reveal the softer, more youthful skin underneath.
How are chemical peels performed? Prior to Chemical peel, you may be instructed to stop certain medications and prepare the skin with pre-conditioning creams, which you would apply at home for a period of time. We usually do the following
* Cleansing the skin with an agent that removes excess oils; eyes and hair are protected.
* Using the proper peeling agent (superficial, medium or deep) based upon the type of skin damage present and your desired results.
* Apply the peel to the designated location (face, neck, chest, hands, arms, or legs).
What to expect after treatment? The results of a chemical peel vary depending on the peel that you receive. After a chemical peel procedure, your skin may feel tight or sunburned. Cleansing, moisturizing, using sunscreen are highly recommended after a chemical peel. Avoid any direct sun exposure during the early healing period. And do NOT peel off any loose skin, as this can result in scarring.

Thermage treatments average about 45 minutes for the face and up to an hour and a half for other parts of the body, depending on the size, location and condition of the area to be treated. Since Thermage is a short procedure and a single treatment, it fits into your busy lifestyle.
Is there any special preparation or follow-up regime?
No. Unlike surgery, there is no pre-procedure preparation such as blood work or fasting. And there is no special care required after treatment, aside from basic skin maintenance and sunscreens as part of a regular skincare regimen. Since the Thermage procedure has little to no downtime, most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. Some patients exhibit a temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours.
How does Thermage treatment work?
Thermage uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deep, collagen rich layers of your skin. The heat helps tighten existing collagen and stimulate the formation of new collagen, which reduces sagging, renews contours, and improves the smoothness and texture of the skin’s surface.
How is Thermage technology different from other tightening procedures?
Unlike some other procedures, Thermage involves no surgery, no injections and little to no downtime, and Thermage works on all skin colors – on and off the face. While laser treatments and other radiofrequency procedures also tighten skin, no other treatment heats as deeply as Thermage. By heating the innermost layers of skin, Thermage is the most effective at tightening collagen and stimulating the formation of new collagen, which results in tighter skin and an overall younger looking appearance.
How do Thermage results compare with those of other treatments?
Some people want the dramatic results of surgery. Others want the more subtle, gradual results of a non-invasive treatment with no downtime. This is where Thermage succeeds, delivering improved skin tone, texture and tightness. When lotions and potions are not enough and surgery is too much, Thermage is a safe, effective solution.
When do the results appear, and how long do they last?
Visible results may be immediate, and they may appear over time in the course of your body’s natural collagen rebuilding process. For most patients, measurable tightening and contouring appear gradually in the two to six months following a single treatment session. Results can last years depending on your skin condition and aging process.
What does the Thermage procedure feel like?
Each time the treatment device touches your skin, you’ll feel a brief cooling sensation, followed by a deep but brief heating sensation, followed by another cooling sensation. The heating sensation is a sign that the deep layers of your skin are reaching effective temperatures for tightening. Throughout the procedure, your physician will ask for feedback on the level of heat sensation to help balance your comfort with maximum results.
What FDA clearances does Thermage have?
Thermage is FDA cleared for the non-invasive treatment of wrinkles and temporary improvement in the appearance of cellulite. In addition, Thermage is the first and only system to receive FDA clearance for non-invasive eyelid treatments.

Restylane® and Perlane® Injectable Gel
These fillers are based on non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies. They do not require testing prior to treatment and the products are eventually absorbed harmlessly by the human body.
Restylane and Perlane are used to fill nasolabial folds, those lines called "parentheses" that run from your nose to your mouth. They can be used to fill small wrinkles around the lips and to plump the lips themselves, and are also being used very successfully to contour the cheeks, nose, chin and jaw line without surgery. They work by adding immediate volume in the skin or deep under the skin, smoothing wrinkles from underneath. They also attract and bind to moisture molecules under the skin's surface for a hydrating effect. All are FDA-approved. There are subtle differences between the products that influence which is best for a particular application; at Revive-MD we'll help you make your choice. No matter which filler you select, you can expect your new look to last several months to over a year.
One of the advantages at Revive-MD is the expertise of Dr Nawab where patients experience little to no discomfort with the injection.
